Ms. Bhavani, is a Junior Perfusionist and been associated with us for 1 year, she is an entry-level clinical professional who assists senior perfusionists in operating cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and other life-support systems during cardiac surgeries. Their responsibilities are focused on learning, supporting, and ensuring safe and effective use of perfusion technology under supervision.

Her Responsibilities

Assist in the setup and operation of the heart-lung machine during cardiac and thoracic surgeries.

Monitor and record basic parameters such as blood pressure, oxygenation, temperature, and blood gases during bypass.

Support the administration of blood products and medications into the perfusion circuit as directed by a senior perfusionist or physician.

Participate in extracorporeal support procedures, including ECMO, VADs, or IABP support.

Technical Assistance

Help prepare, calibrate, and test perfusion equipment before surgical procedures.

Clean and maintain perfusion equipment and disposables in accordance with hospital protocols.

Assist in troubleshooting minor technical issues under the guidance of experienced perfusionists

Maintain detailed logs and case records of perfusion activities as required by hospital or regulatory bodies.

Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety procedures

Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for quality assurance and audit purposes.

Assist senior perfusionists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff during procedures

Communicate clearly and follow instructions precisely in high-stakes environments like the operating room or ICU.
